Santiago Roncagliolo es novelista, guionista, traductor y periodista, licenciado en Lingüística y Literatura por la Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Ha recibido varios premios por su obra, entre ellos Premio Nuevo Talento FNAC en 2003 por su colección de cuentos "Creer es un oficio triste", y IX Premio Alfaguara de Novela en 2006 por “Abril rojo”. En 2007 se estrenó en España “Pudor”, una adaptación cinematográfica de su novela homónima por los hermanos Tristán y David Ulloa. Entre 2008 y 2009 colaboró con el programa radiofónico “La Ventana”, de la Cadena SER dirigido por Gemma Nierga. En 2010 fue elegido por la revista británica “Granta” como uno de los 22 mejores escritores en español menores de 35 años. Colabora con el diario español “El País” y diversos periódicos iberoamericanos. Ha traducido a una serie de autores franceses como Jean Genet y André Gide, entre otros. Sus obras han aparecido ya en 30 países y se están traduciendo a más de 10 idiomas. Reside en Barcelona.
Santiago Roncagliolo is a novelist, scriptwriter, translator and journalist, who holds a bachelor's degree in Linguistics and Literature from the Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He is the recipient of various writing awards, including Premio Nuevo Talento FNAC in 2003 for his collection of short stories "Creer es un oficio triste", and IX Premio Alfaguara de Novela in 2006 for “Abril rojo.” In 2007, "Pudor," a film adaptation of his homonymous novel by the brothers Tristán and David Ulloa, premiered in Spain. Between 2008 and 2009 he participated in the Cadena SER radio program “La Ventana,” directed by Gemma Nierga. In 2010 the British magazine "Granta," selected him as one of the best 22 writers in Spanish language under 35. He occasionally writes for the Spanish daily "El País" and various newspapers from Latin America. He has translated a number of French authors including Jean Genet and André Gide. His books have been published in 30 countries and are being translated into more than 10 languages. He lives in Barcelona.

Lo último es una historia real, "El Amante Uruguayo". Narra la vida de Enrique Amorim, un camaleón que se colaba en la vida de los artistas famosos de su tiempo. Y un genio del marketing. Compartió secretos con García Lorca, Picasso, Neruda, entre otros.
Tell me about the latest books you have published.
The last book tells a real story, "El Amante Uruguayo." It's about the life of Enrique Amorim, a chameleon who infiltrated the lives of famous people of his time. And a marketing genius. He shared secrets with García Lorca, Picasso and Neruda, among others.
